While you clearly support the work of cooperatives, you don’t do so in a wide-eyed way. That’s refreshing. I also think that there is immense power to be had with cooperatives reforging local industry. I believe that because I think it should happen, but I also think it will happen.

My work here in Perth is to rebuild the waste sector around local remanufacturing. It is a hopelessly grand vision, looking to create the value-add sectors here if they don’t already exist, and the Goulburn Valley Food Coop story reminds me that these things can be done. 

Thanks for what obviously took a lot of research.
